BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Bond has been set for a teen accused of raping a younger teen, who later tested positive for HIV.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Prison reported bond for Justin Posey, 17, was set at $400,000.
According to the arrest warrant, the 13-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Lafayette on October 27 because she was having suicidal thoughts.
After the blood test returned positive for HIV, she reportedly told police Posey had raped her while she was at a relative's house in Baton Rouge.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Posey turned himself in Tuesday night.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, Posey was booked on charges of first-degree rape, indecent behavior with a juvenile and armed robbery.
The armed robbery charge stems from an incident that happened on September 30. According to the arrest warrant, Posey and another suspect robbed two people at gunpoint.
The document stated it happened on North 23rd Street after the victims had left a store and were walking back to school.
The report added Posey and the other suspect took the victims' cell phones and headphones, then ran away.
