BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The story of LSU and Alabama is a long and winding path that will go down as one of the greatest college football rivalries of all time. WAFB will be airing a special preview dedicated to the newest edition in this illustrious rivalry.
The undefeated LSU Tigers hope to stave off a four-game losing streak to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
In order to do that, LSU will rely on a ground attack from Heisman candidate running back Leonard Fournette, coming into Saturday's game with 1,352 yards and 15 touchdowns. LSU is 31-3 when rushing for 200 yards or more as a team. The last loss when LSU reached that mark came in 2008 in overtime against Alabama.
LSU quarterback Brandon Harris has proven himself to be a surgeon with a football with 1,098 passing yards, 9 touchdowns and no interceptions.
This year's LSU-Alabama game marks the seventh time since 2005 that both teams enter the game ranked in the top 10. Since taking over at LSU in 2005, Les Miles has gone 5-6 vs. Alabama with seven of the 11 games being decided by seven points or less.
Beat Bama will air on WAFB on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
