Baton Rouge Police detectives have issued an arrest warrant for 17-year-old Justin Posey. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 13 year old female on August 16, 2015.

Posey is wanted for 1st degree rape and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

According to the arrest warrant, the girl was taken to a hospital in Lafayette on Oct. 27 because she was having suicidal thoughts. After the blood test came back positive for HIV, she told police Posey had raped her while she was at her uncle's house in Baton Rouge.

The girl told police she was in a bedroom with some of her cousins and friends when everyone began to leave the room. When she started to leave, Posey allegedly grabbed her arm, pulled her back into the room and shut the door. Posey then allegedly picked up the girl and slammed her onto the bed, held down her arms, and sexually assaulted her.

The girl told police she screamed several times, but no one could hear because there was loud music playing inside the house. She told police she tried to get away but couldn't because he was holding down her arms.

The warrant for Posey's arrest also states he sent the girl a message through Instagram trying to get her phone number.

Twice after the alleged rape, the girl was admitted into the hospital because she was having suicidal thoughts in response to what happened.

Anyone with information on this incident or on Posey’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Juvenile-Sex Crimes Division at 225-389-3853 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
