BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Crime Stoppers fugitive wanted on battery, assault and other charges was captured after someone texted in a tip on where he could possibly be found.

Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers reported Raymond Huddleston, 37, was caught Monday night on Mead Road. He was still being processed as of Tuesday morning, so booking information was not available.

Huddleston is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend on October 19. Investigators said the attack left the victim with cuts to her forehead, arms, legs and face. They added as she tried to run away Huddleston allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at her.

He will face charges of domestic abuse battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, felon in possession of firearm, theft of access card and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
