7-foot tall ice cream cone returned to Baton Rouge eatery

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The cone caper has been closed as a big piece of a Baton Rouge eatery is back in its owner's hands.

Someone returned a seven-foot tall ice cream cone statue that sat outside of the La Divina Italian Café on Perkins Road.

The 100 lbs. cone, which served as an advertisement, disappeared last week. It was determined to be missing on Wednesday morning.

The colorful cone was installed a few months ago. Lance LeBlanc, the owner of the store, bought it from Italy for $1,000.

The owner said it is not back on display quite yet because they got it back with a crack in it that needs to be repaired first.
