MORGAN CITY, LA (WAFB) - A man arrested Thursday on a forcible rape warrant involving a 12-year-old girl is facing charges involving a second alleged victim.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office reported William Frederick, 43, of Bayou Vista, was booked Friday afternoon on a second forcible rape warrant.
He is now charged with two counts of second-degree rape. His bond is set at $150,000.
Detectives said they received the second report Thursday.
According to deputies, the abuse happened multiple times when the victim was 8 to 10 years old.
SMPSO said they received a report early Thursday that Frederick had allegedly raped a girl when she was 12 years old.
Deputies added the abuse went on for several years and the last incident was in November 2014.
Authorities said a forcible rape warrant was issued for Frederick's arrest and he showed up at the Morgan City office regarding the investigation.
Officials said Frederick was arrested on the warrant after speaking with detectives.
