Suspect in Thibodaux power drill case arrested again less than seven hours after release

THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) - A man Thibodaux arrested for trying to drill into a car on Wednesday was arrested again on Thursday for breaking a restraining order.

Charles Sagona Jr., 37, was released from jail after posting a $5,200 bond for false imprisonment and disturbing the peace, as well as a separate domestic abuse battery charge.

Less than seven hours after he was released from jail, Thibodaux Police say Sagona broke a protective order when he showed up to a victim's home and placed 11 phone calls to the victim within a 10-minute time period.

Sagona was arrested again, this time charged with violation of a protective order.

The suspect is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center pending a bond.
