BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Officials with the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair announced the fair will be closed again Tuesday after significant weather this past weekend.
Chairman Cliff Barton said that the parking area cannot safely accommodate vehicles.
"We are working to get the grounds ready for a possible opening later this week," said Barton in a statement Monday.
Officials will make a decision Tuesday about if the fair will reopen on Wednesday.
The fair closed early on Saturday due to weather conditions and remained closed both Sunday and Monday.
In a statement over the weekend, officials said that the fair "will re-open as soon as it is dry enough to safely operate."
Tickets purchased for the fair are good for any day it is open.
The fair will still end on November 1.
