Parish agencies offering sand bags to help potential flood victims

Multiple parish agencies are offering sandbags to residents that are threatened by high water and flooding.

The Acension Parish office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness is urging citizens threatened by flooding to pick up filled sand bags at Fire Station 71 in Gonzales at 13398 Roddy Road.

The Livingston Parish Office of homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness is giving sand bags to those in need at Fire Districts 1, 5, 8, and in the parking lot of the old Val's Marina.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department is offering sand bags at Station 7 on Jefferson and Clay Cut, Station 9 on Perkins at Southdowns, Station 13 on Sharp Road, and Station 14 on Harding Boulevard.
