Crime Stoppers: Man accused of attacking ex-girlfriend and trying to shoot her

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities are trying to find a man wanted on attempted murder and other charges for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said Joseph Carroll II, 30, broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment on Saturday and attacked her.

Investigators said he also pulled out a gun, pointed it at her and pulled the trigger, but the gun didn’t fire.

Police said Carroll is 6’0" tall and weighs 200 pounds. They added he has brown eyes and currently has dreadlocks with gold tips.

He is wanted on charges of attempted second-degree murder, home invasion, aggravated battery, domestic abuse battery with child endangerment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
