Bossier City Deputy asks judge to drop lawsuit filed by former Live Oak coach

BENTON, LA (WAFB) - A hearing was held Monday concerning a lawsuit involving a former Live Oak High football coach and Bossier City deputies.

Coach Barry "Tut" Musemeche sued the Bossier City deputy who handcuffed him on a football field moments before a 2012 playoff game between Live Oak and Parkway.

He wasn't arrested and no charges were ever filed.

At a hearing Monday, the cops asked a judge to drop the case.

A ruling could come as early as next week.

A separate case against the Bossier School System is still pending in Baton Rouge.
