Baton Rouge city-parish job fair to be held Tuesday

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge's city-parish Department of Public Works has reorganized and is now two departments. They've added a City-Parish Department of Human Resources. That means there are jobs to be filled.

On Tuesday October 20, DPW and DHR will hold a job fair at the Main Branch of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library on Goodwood Blvd. It will be held in a meeting room on the first floor between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

They hope to hire workers in many types of expertise areas. For instance, they're looking for auto mechanics, heavy equipment operators, instrument technicians, and maintenance workers.

They're looking for custodians, code enforcement officers, engineering aides, and environmental specialists.

There are spots open for plans analysts. They want plant and pump mechanics, and people in the trades.

There are many jobs, and you can d rop by the Goodwood Library.

They're looking for people with experience and expertise in the areas they're filling, but there are other jobs not listed here.
