BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The St. George Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 3000 block of Caroljack Drive in Baton Rouge on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home at 1:53 p.m. They arrived to find a storage building and the roof of a house burning, as well as the home’s fencing, several trees, and two cars in a nearby driveway burning as well.

The fire was reported to be under control at about 2:41 p.m.

Investigators say that the home near the storage building sustained heavy fire damage to the attic and roof. St. George fire investigators believe that the fire appears to have begun in the storage building.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. No one was inside of either home, and there were no reported injuries.
