No. 7 LSU (5-0, 3-0 SEC) beats South Carolina (2-4, 0-4 SEC) 45-24 in Tiger Stadium after severe flooding moved the Gamecocks' home game to Baton Rouge.
LSU sophomore quarterback Brandon Harris was 18 of 28 for 228 yards, including a touchdown pass to wide receiver Malachi Dupre in the second quarter.
LSU sophomore running back Leonard Fournette had 158 rushing yards on 20 carries, including a 87-yard touchdown run at the start of the second half. In the first half, he was held to 49 yards on 15 carries.
Freshman running back Derrius Guice led the rushing attack for the Tigers with 161 yards on 16 carries, including a touchdown run to give LSU a 45-24 victory.
South Carolina got a 96-yard kickoff return from freshman Rashad Fenton, after Harris hit Malachi Dupre with a 10-yard touchdown strike in the second quarter, closing the gap to 14-10.
However, the Gamecocks only managed only 283 yards of total offense for Steve Spurrier.
