BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman accused of driving while intoxicated was arrested by Thibodaux Police on Wednesday morning.
Authorities say at about 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, a woman ran a stop sign at West 8th Street and Jackson Street in Thibodaux. This caused a TPD officer to slam their breaks to avoid a collision with the suspect.
When the officer flashed his lights at the suspect, later learned to be 28-year-old Lindsey Fruge, she put her vehicle in reverse and backed up in the roadway before being told to stop, according to Thibodaux police.
Fruge performed poorly on a field sobriety test, and tested with a BAC of .228g%
Fruge was arrested and charged with her second DWI, no driver's license on person, and violation of a stop sign. She was released from the Lafourche Parish Detention Center after posting a $2,100 bond.
