BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A trial date has been set for two Baton Rouge Police officers and a former officer who are charged with abuse of power related to a sex act.
Isaac Bolden, Travis Wheeler, and Emerson Jackson are accused of walking up to a woman and a man in a parked car at Old Hammond Park earlier this year and forcing the man to leave. Bolden then allegedly had the woman perform a sex act on him.
Bolden resigned from the force later in February after having been with BRPD for just over a year. Emerson and Wheeler were fired after a grand jury indicted them both with abuse of power charges related to a sex act. Both Emerson and Wheeler had been with BRPD for at least five years.
The trial has been set for April 4, 2016 and all three have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
All three former officers face five years in prison if convicted.
