BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning involving an EBRSO deputy.
It happened on Gardere Lane near Leake Avenue around 7:30 a.m.
Casey Rayborn Hicks, the spokeswoman for EBRSO, said the other vehicle, a Durango which was traveling northbound on Gardere Lane, went off the road. The driver overcorrected, crossed the center line and slammed head-on into the deputy's unit which was traveling southbound.
Bother drivers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The deputy's name was not released.
The crash is still being investigated.
