LSU running back named SEC Offensive Player of the Week

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU running back Leonard Fournette has been named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive week.

Fournette rushed for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns in LSU's 34-24 win over Syracuse. 

The star running back has rushed for over 200-yards against Miss. State, Auburn and Syracuse.

The Heisman hopeful scored on runs of 62 and 14 yards against a Syracuse defense that went into the game ranked No. 3 in the nation against the run, allowing just 46.7 yards a contest.

Fournette will look to rush for over 200-yards for the fourth straight game Saturday against Eastern Michigan. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
