LSU up in one poll, down in another after victory against Syracuse

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

After a win against Syracuse on Saturday, LSU has moved up one spot in one poll and down a spot in another poll. 

The Tigers are ranked No. 9 in this week's AP Top 25 Poll, down from No. 8.  
The SEC has seven teams in the top 25. Ole Miss is ranked No. 3, followed by Georgia (8), LSU (9), Alabama (13), Texas A&M (14), Miss. State (21) and Florida (25).

In this week's USA Today Coaches Poll, LSU moved up one spot to No. 8.
Ole Miss (5) and Georgia (6) are also in the top 10 with the Tigers, followed by Alabama (13), Texas A&M (15), Miss. State (22) and Florida (23).

Ohio State is the unanimous No. 1 in both polls.

LSU beat Syracuse 34-24 improving to 3-0. The Tigers will be back in action Saturday against Eastern Michigan at 6:00 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
