For the second game straight, sophomore running back Leonard Fournette rushed for over 200 yards as No. 8 LSU beat Syracuse, 34-24.
Fournette had 26 carries for 244 yards with two touchdowns. He had 117 rushing yards at halftime, including a 14-yard run which gave LSU its only score in the first half. In the third quarter, Fournette ran 62 yards for his second touchdown.
LSU sophomore quarterback Brandon Harris was 8 of 16 for 157 yards and had am 11-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Malachi Dupre.
LSU had 14 penalties for 119 yards. The Tigers improve to 3-0.
LSU will take on Eastern Michigan in the Tiger Stadium on October 3. The kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
