BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Friends of City Park and Trinity Lutheran Church sponsored a Remember the Memory Lutheran Cemetery Clean-up Day Saturday.

The Lutheran Benevolent Burial Society, the LSU Lutheran Campus Ministry, the Old South Baton Rouge Civic Association, the Foundation for Historical Louisiana and church community youth groups, cemetery preservationists and history buffs gathered to clean up the Lutheran Cemetery located at 1735 Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive.

Lillie Gallagher with the Friends of City Park and Shelia Blanchard with the Trinity Lutheran Church says that the event happens bi-annually in the fall and the spring.

Afterward, organizers hosted a jambalaya lunch for the volunteers while they were entertained by music from local gospel singer Quiana Lynell.
