Five Louisiana men arrested on child pornography charges this week

Five men were arrested this week as the results of multiple investigations by the Attorney General's Cyber Crimes Unit along with several other law enforcement agencies. BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) -

An investigation led by the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit put five Louisiana men behind bars on child pornography charges.

According to a release from Attorney General Buddy Caldwell's office, five men were charged with violating state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute or possess pornography involving juveniles.

Police arrested 48-year-old Erik Stapper, who lives on Metairie Court in Metairie, on Sept. 22. According to authorities, investigators downloaded pornography involving juveniles from Stapper during an undercover investigation.

Stapper is charged with one count of Pornography Involving Juveniles.

Police arrested 36-year-old Michael Vaughn Jr., who lives on S. Bengal Road in River Ridge, on Sept. 23. A cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led investigators to Vaughn's workplace in Orleans Parish where they found seven videos containing child pornography on Vaughn's cell phone.

Vaughn is charged with seven counts of Possessing Pornography involving Juveniles.

Police arrested 18-year-old Andrew Easterly, who lives on Antioch Boulevard in Baton Rouge, on Sept. 24. An undercover investigation led agents to execute a search warrant at Easterly's residence, according to authorities. Evidence collected during the search showed that Easterly downloaded, shared and view child pornography.

Easterly is charged with two counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles, two counts of Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles and one count of Video Voyeurism.

Police arrested 35-year-old Benjamin Cole Rosenthal, who lives on Kimbro Drive in Baton Rouge, on Sept. 24. Authorities say that investigators received a rip indicating that child pornography was uploaded to an online account that belonged to Rosenthal.

Agents executed a search warrant on Rosenthal's resident and say they found hundreds of images of child pornography on his hard drive.

Rosenthal is charged with 200 counts of Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles.

Police arrested 36-year-old Christopher Waguespack, who lives on Rue De Toni in Baton Rouge, on Sept. 24. During an undercover investigation, officers downloaded pornographic images involving juveniles from Waguespack, according to authorities.

Waguespack is charged with 50 counts of Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles.
