BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man was arrested after he assaulted the man that he believes stole his car.
Police responding to a stabbing in the 15000 block of Jefferson Highway found a man with a cut on the right side of his face who said that he had his car stolen. The man, 35-year-old Quentin Tilletson, said that he was angry and took matters into his own hands.
Tilletson says he saw his car at the Jefferson highway residence, went upstairs to the apartment of the man he suspected stole his vehicle, and immediately started swinging and hitting the man. Tilletson says that the victim cut him on the right side of the face with a knife.
The victim told police that Tilletson kicked the door in while the victim was in the bathtub, and started hitting him. The victim says that he was eventually able to get a knife and cut the defendant out of fear for his life. An investigation shows that damage to the door is consistent with someone kicking in a door.
Tilletson was arrested and charged with home invasion. He was booked on a $25,000 bond.
