(WAFB) - It's already Week 4 for prep football and three blow outs took place Thursday evening.
Starting off with the Bulldogs of Ascension Catholic hosting Southern Lab.
The Kittens were off to a fast start as Bladrick Veal dropped back and threw deep to Tevis Abraham. They get inside the 10-yard line, but on 4th down Veal and Abraham could not connect. The Bulldogs held and there was no score.
But on the very next play Ascension Catholic gave the ball right back, fumbling inside their own 10.
Southern Lab recovered the ball and take the advantage as Veal with the quarterback sneak into the endzone gave the Kittens a 7-0 lead.
After forcing the Bulldogs to punt, Southern Lab's Curtlan Williams made the first few defenders miss and then raced down the sideline. It was his first of two punt return touchdowns in the first half.
Southern Lab dominated Mentorship with a score of 46-7.
At Christian Life, the Crusaders were coming off a 61-0 rout of False River in Week 3. Christian Life was tied at 6 with Mentorship Academy when Jarod Davis broke the plane and put the Crusaders in front 12-6.
Later quarterback Prince Davis, looking deep, launched one in the direction of Brennan Williams for another Crusaders touchdown and Christian Life had a 24-6 lead.
Davis liked that one so much he looked for Williams again on the next possession, and after another touchdown the Crusaders were running away with it, 30-6. Davis also scored on a quarterback keeper later to make it 36-6.
Christian Life won with another lopsided score, 42-6, over Ascension Catholic
The Baton Rouge CHEF Patriots also had a huge blow out with a 64-2 victory over the New Orleans Saints in a home school battle.
