Suspect identified, wanted in deadly Baton Rouge shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police continue to investigate a shooting that left one man dead in Baton Rouge on September 14, 2015 and have identified a man thought to be involved in the shooting.

Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department are searching for 39-year-old Michael Jerome Collins. 

Police said 28-year-old Levi Alexander was found lying on North 23rd Street near I-110 and Plank Road just before 11 p.m. 

Cpl. L'Jean Mckneely Jr. with BRPD said Alexander had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.

The investigation is ongoing.
