BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office announced Sunday night that a missing 81-year-old has been found safe and unharmed.

81-year-old Betty Douglas was found safe after she was reported missing Sunday afternoon from her Prairieville home. 

The APSO says that Douglas is suffering from the early stages of Alzheimers.

An 81-year-old woman is missing, and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office needs your help to bring them home.

According to Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, Betty Douglas, 81, was reported missing by family members on Sunday afternoon from her Prairieville home.

Douglas is about 5'4", and weighs 170 pounds.

The APSO says Douglas suffers from the early stages of Alzheimers and is believed to be travelling in her red 2010 Toyota Corolla, license plate number VIH261.
