BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police said one of two suspects wanted in connection with multiple business burglaries was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Kendrick Lewis, 21, of Lake Providence, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of simple burglary and simple burglary of a pharmacy. His bond was set at $25,000.
Lake Providence is in the far northeastern corner of Louisiana.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported evidence obtained at the crime scenes was instrumental in the arrest. The second suspect has not yet been identified.
Detectives said the pair is suspected of breaking into two pharmacies, a convenience store and a food company. They reported at least two of those happened at night on March 26.
Investigators added prescription drugs and money were taken.
