Crime Stoppers tip leads to arrest of home invasion, battery suspect

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Baton Rouge man who was wanted for allegedly throwing an object through his ex’s window and striking her in the face has been arrested.

Dryan Dupree, 27, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday after Crime Stoppers received a tip that he would be at a home in the 2400 block of East Mason. SWAT with the Baton Rouge Police Department was able to arrest Dupree without incident.

Crime Stoppers featured Dupree on WAFB in August for allegedly forced his way into his girlfriend’s apartment at about 11 p.m. August 25. When the victim’s friend forced Dupree out of the apartment, he threw an object through the window, striking her in the face.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for her injuries. The victim had been harmed two times prior to this incident on August 19 and 21.

Dupree will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail on charges of home invasion, aggravated second degree battery, aggravated criminal damage to property charges, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, and domestic abuse battery.
