Leonard Fournette had his third straight 200-yard game, including a 75-yard touchdown run, as No. 9 LSU pulled away to beat Eastern Michigan, 44-22.
Fournette, who is a Heisman Trophy front runner, had 233 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries. He is the first player in the SEC history to have three straight games with 200-plus rushing yards.
LSU linebacker Deion Jones intercepted a throw by Eastern Michigan quarterback Brogan Roback and ran 26 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to make the final 44-22.
LSU travels to Columbia to face South Carolina on October 10. Kickoff is set at 11 a.m. Central and the game will be televised on ESPN.
