Teen shot, hit by car leaving high school football stadium


Lafayette police are looking for two suspects believed to be involved in a shooing near the Northside High School Stadium. 

Police say the shooting happened Friday just before 10 p.m. 

According to witnesses, the victim, a 17-year-old female, and her friends were walking away from the stadium when they heard gunshots. The victim attempted to run from the area but was shot in the arm. After, she was struck by a vehicle injuring her foot. 

The victim was able to get into a car and was driven to the intersection of West Willow Street and Louisiana Avenue where she was met by EMS. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she remains in stable condition. 

No other injuries were reported from the shooting. 

Detectives say they are looking for two young black males possibly driving an older model brown car.
