BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A St. Francisville man was arrested for allegedly stabbing someone with a knife before getting shot at, according to West Feliciana Sheriff's Officers.
An investigation into a September 4 incident involving 60-year-old John Penton and 32-year-old Paul Spearman led to both of their arrests after a physical altercation between the two.
On September 4, Penton was arrested for allegedly trying to shoot his step son, Spearman. During the course of the investigation, the WFPSO found that Spearman allegedly stabbed Penton with a knife before the shooting took place.
Spearman was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with 2nd Degree Aggravated Battery. Penton is currently being held on a $150,000 bond for one count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.
