BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Movie fans can watch the zombie apocalypse hit Baton Rouge at the end of the month. Anchor Bay Entertainment announced the release of Navy SEALS vs. Zombies on September 25.
The movie was filmed in Baton Rouge and features former LSU athlete and Olympian LoLo Jones. Several of the Navy SEALS are portrayed by actual former members of the elite military team.
"It's merging those two for your entertainment that is the challenge," said actor and former Navy Seal Mikal Vega.
NASCAR driver Stanton Barrett directed the film which centers around a group of SEALS on a rescue mission to find the Vice President after he goes missing on a campaign stop in Louisiana.
The company describes the chaos that follows: "d ropped into a warzone, the SEALs quickly discover that they aren't dealing with a normal enemy. The city is under siege by hordes of fast-moving, flesh-eating undead. The infection is spreading and urban warfare has been unleashed. With no cure in sight and time running out, the elite unit has to survive their most horrific mission of all."
Navy SEALS vs. Zombies will be available on digital HD on September 25. It will be available on Blu-Ray, DVD and On Demand on October 6.
