BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The LSU Police Department has arrested a man accused of punching a woman in the face at a fraternity house on LSU's campus.
Police say just before 11 p.m. on August 29, LSU PD received a call about a female that had been battered at the Kappa Alpha fraternity house.
On August 31, police were able to confirm that the victim had been punched numerous times in the face resulting in seven stitches, a fractured nose and bruising to her nose and cheek.
Police later identified the suspect as 18-year-old Michael Long.
According to investigators, during his interview, Long confessed to repeatedly punching the victim.
Long was arrested on September 4 and taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he has been charged with second degree battery.
He was later released after posting a $5000 bond.
