THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) - A man whose Blood Alcohol Content was more than three times the legal limit was arrested early Friday morning, according to Thibodaux Police.
Zachary Crochet, 22, of Napoleonville, was stopped in the intersection of Jackson Street and LA 1 around 2 a.m. while his traffic signal was red, causing those with a green traffic signal to drive around him, police say. When his signal turned green, he remained stopped in the intersection until his light turned red again.
Police arrived at the intersection as he was driving through the red light, and pulled him over.
When Officers made contact with Crochet, they could smell the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. After failing a standardized field sobriety test, Crochet was placed under arrest. Crochet's BAC was .257g%.
