WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Deputies with the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office found about 2 kilograms of cocaine during a traffic stop on Thursday.
A 2007 Chevrolet pick up truck was pulled over by deputies for following too close and improper lane usage a few miles before the Lobdell exit on I-10 heading eastbound.
An investigation was done and a K-9 alerted deputies to the cocaine which was found in a speaker in the truck. It has a street value of the drug is around $200,000.
The driver, 47-year-old Jules George, of New Orleans, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine in excess of 400 grams, following too close and improper lane usage. He was booked into the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Detention Center.
