A report that ranked college football teams based on jersey sales of former players put LSU at No. 4 on the list.
The DICK’S Sporting Goods’ Jersey report indicated Odell Beckham Jr., Patrick Peterson and Barkevious Mingo helped the Tigers make the top five of the Jersey Report Alma Mater Poll.
Beckham, a wide receiver with the New York Giants, has the most popular jersey among offensive players in the NFL. In overall popularity, Beckham’s jersey is No. 2.
Peterson, a cornerback with the Arizona Cardinals, has the No. 20 most popular jersey among defensive players in the league. Mingo, an outside linebacker with the Cleveland Browns, has the No. 30 most popular defensive jersey.
Mingo’s teammate, cornerback Joe Haden, has the most popular jersey among all players. He, along with injured Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey helped the Florida Gators to the No. 1 ranking on the list of colleges based on jersey sales among former players.
Stanford is ranked No. 3 and Tennessee came in at No. 4.
