ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) - One of the suspects accused of murdering a Zachary man who was a convicted sex offender was arraigned Thursday.
Brittany Monk, 17, pleaded not guilty for the murder of Robert Noce, Jr.
East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore said her arraignment date was pushed up because Monk is pregnant with a September due date.
Monk and another suspect, 21-year-old Jace Crehan, were indicated by a grand jury Wednesday and officially charged with second-degree murder.
Crehan's arraignment date has been set for October 14.
The couple is accused of killing Noce, 47, at his home located in the 3000 block of South Vernon Road. Noce's body was found stuffed in a 55-gallon drum on July 4, 2015.
An autopsy revealed that Noce died from strangulation, but he was stabbed multiple times as well.
Jace Crehan and Brittany Monk are being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
