Police: Intoxicated man pulls gun outside bar after fight

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man suspected of being drunk is accused of pulling a gun on people outside a bar early Tuesday morning and threatening to shoot.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Christopher Hicks, 21, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal carrying of a weapon, possession of a firearm at an alcoholic beverage outlet, disturbing the peace by fighting and disturbing the peace by public drunkenness.

Police said Hicks got into a fight in the parking lot right outside the front door of Reggie's on Bob Boulevard in Tigerland. They said he pulled out a 9mm Taurus pistol on the crowd and bar staff. They added he racked the slide and threatened to fire.

Investigators said witnesses identified Hicks as the person who pulled out a gun and he was arrested. A man named Christopher Zachary was issued a citation.

No injuries were reported.
