BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A man arrested a year ago on a seventh DWI offense was arrested again on the same charge early Sunday morning.

Louisiana State Police reported Fredrick Warner, 38, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of DWI (7th offense), speeding and no driver’s license on person. The prison reported he was released Sunday after posting a $61,000 bond.

According to the probable cause report, the truck Warner was driving was pulled over by a state trooper on Florida Boulevard just before 2 a.m. The report stated Warner is accused of going 78 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The trooper reported Warner’s breath smelled like alcohol and his eyes were glassy and bloodshot. The trooper added Warner performed poorly on the standardized field sobriety test and refused to provide a valid breath sample.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reported in June 2014 that Warner was arrested on a seventh offense DWI, careless operation and driving under suspension. In that case, he was released after posting a $51,000 bond.

It is not yet known why Warner was arrested again on a seventh DWI instead of an eighth.
