BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police have arrested a man after they say he admitted to shooing at his stepson.
According to police, the incident happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of Shada Street.
When officers arrived, they discovered the suspect, 46-year-old Jeffery London, called 911 because the victim, his stepson, would not leave.
According to a probable cause report, the 911 call taker told police that they could hear a male saying "You saying you going to kill me?" before shots were fired.
When asked about the shooting, London first told police that his stepson shot at him. He later told the officer "I'm going to be honest with you," and confessed that he was the one who was shooting.
When interviewed by police, the victim said that the suspect shot at him five or six times as he drove away to escape the shooting.
London told police he didn't know how many times he shot at the victim but informed officers that he had a silver revolver hidden across the street at his sister's house.
London was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he has been charged with attempted first degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property.
