LSU places five on ESPN's Preseason All-SEC Team

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU has placed two offensive and three defensive players on ESPN's preseason All-SEC team.

The Tigers are led on offense by running back Leonard Fournette and offensive lineman Vadal Alexander.

Last season, as a true freshman, Fournette ran for 1,034 yards on 187 carries and scored 10 touchdowns.

Alexander turned down the NFL to return to LSU for his senior season. As a junior he earned second team All-SEC honors.

Linebacker Kendell Beckwith, defensive back Tre'Davious White and safety Jamal Adams were all named to the All-SEC preseason defensive team.

Beckwith started seven games for LSU. He finished second on the team with 77 tackles and added two sacks.

White had 33 tackles and a sack as a sophomore for the Tigers. ESPN calls White, "the ultimate ball hawk at corner."

Adams exploded on the scene as a true freshman last year. He finished the season with 66 tackles and a sack.
