BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A new ride sharing app is looking to help Capitol City citizens blow by all of the heavy traffic.
Geaux Ride is a new ride sharing app designed to let users carpool to a destination together. The aim of the startup is to cut down on traffic gridlock and improve air quality in the area.
According to the Baton Rouge Business Report, the app allows users to find other users in the same ZIP code who are headed to the same place they are. The riders then connect via e-mail and can exchange phone numbers for easier networking.
The app's website says that their online tools will allow users to see how much they saved by using the app, as well as the environmental benefits.
More information can be found on www.geauxride.com. Officials said more details will be released on September 16 at the North Boulevard Town Square.
