BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A fugitive sex offender was arrested in Shreveport on Thursday, says Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
The Louisiana Attorney General's Office announced the arrest of 27-year-old Kentrell Debose. He was convicted in 2009 for carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Louisiana. Debose was wanted by the Harrison County Sheriff's Office in Texas for failing to register as a sex offender.
Debose was also wanted by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections for parole violations related to failing to comply with Louisiana sex offender registry laws, as well as firearm possession charges.
Debose was booked into the Caddo Parish jail where he is currently awaiting extradition to Texas.
