BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman suspected of stabbing a woman she knows on Sunday morning, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries, was arrested Wednesday.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported Ferdonia Jones, 25, of Zachary, was booked on charges of attempted second-degree murder and home invasion. Bond was not set.
Deputies said medical personnel stated the knife damaged a main artery. At last check, the victim was listed in stable condition.
According to the probable cause report, the victim told deputies there was a knock at her back door and when she opened it, Jones was standing there. The report added the victim said she knows the suspect.
The report also stated the victim said she tried to close the door, but Jones allegedly forced her way into the house and they started fighting.
According to the report, the victim noticed she was bleeding from her arm when the fight was over and said the suspect asked her if she wanted to go to the hospital. The victim reportedly refused.
The report stated Jones told the victim she was going to call 911 and then left the victim's house. The victim told investigators she never even saw the knife during the fight.
