EBRSO arrest two suspects following standoff in the rain

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office arrested two people Wednesday after an almost three-hour standoff in the rain.

Detectives with EBRSO went to the apartment of Kellea Anne Duncan around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. She and a man were seen inside, but refused to come out. After getting a search warrant for the apartment and several attempts to communicate with the two, SWAT forced their way inside around 1:30 p.m. and arrested Duncan and the man.

Duncan, 26, was charged with 2 counts of simple burglary, 2 counts criminal damage to property, aggravated burglary and armed robbery. A man was also taken into custody and charged with simple burglary, aggravated burglary and armed robbery.

Deputies arrested Duncan for an attempted burglary in the 6000 Siegen Ln. on July 15. She was also wanted for breaking a window at a home in the 800 block of Versailles Dr. on July 27 and stealing a TV and jewelry were stolen from the residence.

Duncan is also a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred in the 10000 block of Ansley Drive on July 14. The victim allegedly found Duncan and a man in the bedroom when he came home. The victim told deputies that he had a knife held to his throat by the man who told the victim to get on the ground. The man dropped the knife after he was hit by the victim and then pulled out a gun, pointing it at the victim. Duncan and the man stole the victim's wallet and electronics before leaving.

Kellea was booked into the parish prison. Her bond was set $140,000.

Detectives are working to identity the man as the investigation is ongoing.
