BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Bobby Jindal is lauding his state's efforts in creating a friendly environment for small businesses.
Thumbtack.com released it's 2015 Small Business Friendliness report card. Louisiana was ranked 4th in the country for fostering a supportive business environment.
Louisiana earned an A in eight categories, like ease of starting a business, regulations, and tax code.
"Small businesses are vital to the Louisiana economy and important contributors to the overall well-being of communities throughout Louisiana," said Governor Jindal. "We place great importance on helping our small businesses to grow and succeed."
Jindal says putting programs and services in place to foster small business growth helped to bolster Louisiana's rankings.
Louisiana has ranked among the top 5 small-business friendly states for three of the last four years, reaching the highest rankings than ever before since 2008.
