Angola death row heat case may head to US Supreme Court

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A lawsuit involving three Angola death row inmates may head to the U.S. Supreme Court.

On Monday, a three-judge panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused to take another look at its order for a Baton Rouge judge to look into other heat remedies short of air conditioning Angola's death row.

The three inmates claim the extreme heat is life threatening.

Their lawyers have the option of asking the Supreme Court to intervene.
