BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Sunday morning at the Church on the Bluff saw a special service at the Southern University Mini-Dome.
A local congregation held the Sunday service. Pastor Mark Ellis with United Christian Faith Ministries spoke to hundreds of people who joined him in praise.
Area school leaders and state lawmakers joined in the day of worship.
Senator Sharon Weston Broome said "I want to let kyou know that government cannot be all things to all people," said Broome. "You know whose role that is? God."
Senator Broome was followed at the podium by EBR Schools Superintendant Warren Drake.
