Police find 2 infants in apartment where drugs were allegedly being sold

MORGAN CITY, LA (WAFB) -

The Morgan City Police Department received a complaint of drugs being sold out of an apartment LA 182 in Morgan City. When officers arrived at the apartment, they found 21-year-old Laquisha Young and 21-year-old Joshua Roshell inside. Also inside of the apartment were two children ages 10 months and a year old, according to police reports.

After officers received consent to search the apartment, they found marijuana, crack cocaine and a .38 caliber revolver. 

Young and Roshell were arrested and taken to the Morgan City Police Department. The children were released to a guardian.

Young was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Roshell was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, violation of controlled dangerous substance law, possession of controlled substance in the presence of persons under 17 years old.

No bail has been set at this time.
