Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office offers reward in burglary of local business owner's vehicle

LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for a vehicle burglary in July.

Sheriff’s Deputies say they received a call about a vehicle burglary in the 300 block of Peltier Drive on July 26.

The owner of the vehicle says that she parked her vehicle in the driveway of her residence around 1:30 a.m. and woke up around 10 a.m. to find that it had been broken into.

The owner reported that her tablet and several thousand dollars in cash from her business were taken in burglary.

Detectives believe the suspect or suspects made their way in through the passenger-side door after they discovered evidence of tampering with the window trim.

Deputies say that if anyone has any information about the incident, you are asked to call the Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-783-7433 or by texting “GIVEATIP” plus your message to 274637. Tips can also be submitted using the TipSubmit Mobile App or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Anyone who gives a tip could be eligible for a reward of up to $1000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
